National 20mph campaigner at ED’s Seminar 11am Fri. 27th Jan

National campaigner Rod King, founder of ‘20s plenty for us‘ and 2012 Directory of Social Change Influencer of the Year runner up will speak at this years ED’s Cycle Co-op Annual Seminar at the Bishopbriggs Community Church this Friday (27 Jan.) . Bishopbriggs Cycle Festival 2011 – even better (videos)

This years’ Bishopbriggs Cycle Festival will be even better than before with a truly amazing line up of things to watch, ride and race. It’s on Sunday 19th June from 2pm to 5pm in Bishopbriggs, Etive Park,G64 1PN. This is an event for everyone, so bring along your grandchildren and your granny. Over 1,000 people turned out last year, so don’t miss it

Rainbow Ride unites 7 cycle-friendly schools

On Saturday, 28th May, over 100 pupils, parents and staff from the seven Cycle Friendly Primary Schools in Bishopbriggs created a mass cycle procession, each wearing a coloured waterproof poncho, the Rainbow Ride. The Bishopbriggs Gala Queen and Princesses travelled in a Velo taxi and Rickshaw along the route from Bishopbriggs Library to the Fort Theatre.

Danny MacAskill impresses all at Baldernock Spring Cycle Festival

ED’s Cycle Co-op were delighted to have Danny MacAskill headline with The Clan at the Baldernock Spring Cycle Festival on Saturday 26th March 2011. We also had our own Baldernock supergran in Ros Jarvis, cycling LeJog. The crowd came from all around Glasgow and Stirling and there was even a Park ‘n’ Ride led from Baldernock Primary and Turnbull High Schools. More images here. Free Santa bike setup for pupils in Bishopbriggs and Introducing Winter Workshops

Simultaneous Bike Bell ringing, ED’s style.

ED’s Cycle Co-op was delighted that around 20 schools, over 2,500 pupils across Scotland took part in our Simultaneous bike bell ringing Guinness World Record attempt on European Car Free Day, 22nd September 2010. Every nursery and primary in Bishopbriggs took part, as well Turnbull High School and other schools across Scotland in: East Renfrewshire; Moray; Aberdeen; and Edinburgh.
