This morning, ED’s Cycle Co-op were delighted to be working with Eleanor Bradford, Health Correspondent of BBC Scotland reporting on the health benefits of children cycling on the first day back at school. East Dunbartonshire Council leader, Rhondda Geekie also came on the record to support our call for 20mph maximum speed limit in the residential streets across our community, to encourage more walking and cycling locally
Here is a photo of Eleanor reporting direct to Scotland from our Bullitt bike.

Hi
Lovely story and good on you for encouraging your kids to cycle to school and getting 20mph on the local agenda!
But your 8 year old’s cycle helmet is so loose that if he fell off it would not be much good. He should be able to only get 2 fingers under the chin strap and the clips could be nearer his ears to tighten the upper portion of the straps…
Best wishes and keep up the good work
Please send details of billit bike and lifestyle coop. Have campaigned for cyclopark http://www.cyclopark.com complete next march BMX MTB and Track October and any ideas and initiatives we can used will be most welcome

Mark, that’s a great piece! Combining good news with campaigning aims – brilliant. And I thought the reporter did her bit by showing that helmets aint mandatory…
Keep up the great work.
