On Saturday, 28th May, over 100 pupils, parents and staff from the seven Cycle Friendly Primary Schools in Bishopbriggs created a mass cycle procession, each wearing a coloured waterproof poncho, the Rainbow Ride. The Bishopbriggs Gala Queen and Princesses travelled in a Velo taxi and Rickshaw along the route from Bishopbriggs Library to the Fort Theatre.
The ride was part of the Bishopbriggs Gala in association with the Thomas Muir Festival. At the conclusion of the ride, the Bishopbriggs Youth BMX Club put on a demonstration of their skillful riding.
